Foster care homes are desperately needed!

The foster home program is a critical component of The Pet Connection and has the capabilities of saving hundreds of animals from death in area shelters. The foster care network in Kansas City serves as a direct arm of the shelter & rescue systems and extends our reach, allowing more animals to be saved. More foster care homes are needed for emergency situations when animals are scheduled to be put to death, waiting for transport, or waiting for space in a safe sanctuary like ours. We get hundreds of requests per day to rescue animals.  With more foster homes, we can help more animals in need.

The commitment is flexible.

One night, one weekend, one month, or one year. Whenever you can do it. Foster Homes are needed for weekend stays. Foster Homes are also needed for elderly/special needs animals until permanent placement can be found.

You can make a difference.

Becoming a foster parent can help to make a difference with the overpopulation problem our community faces today. Help us save even more pets this year. Open your heart and home to an unwanted, abandoned animal. By developing Kansas City’s base of foster homes, and spaying/neutering, we CAN achieve our goal of no more homeless pets in Kansas City!
