Samson

Sweet Samson has been medically cleared to be a dog! This adorable lab mix came to us with a broken leg and begging for help. Our veterinary partners could not say no to his cute face and organized to have his fees covered to plate his broken leg. When we asked for a medical foster, the most amazing Raytown residents stepped up and said bring him to us! Since then it has been months of surgery, cage rest, leash only outside, no long walks, no running around playing, no jumping, and everything a young dog wants to do was off limits. Multiple trips to the vet for rechecks and finally yesterday he was medically cleared to be a playful good boy! Finally, he could show those squirrels who was king of the yard!

Now it's time for the next part of Samson's journey and his last transition to a forever home, where he can continue to be loved and safe for many years to come. He is a small lab mix, around 35 pounds, a year old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He kennels well, loves to play with toys and be snuggled, likes other dogs, and would do well with kids. He can be overly curious with cats so a slow intro would be necessary. He's housebroken, walks well on a leash, and is an all-around good boy. His adoption fee has been sponsored too!
