People say that the eyes are the windows to the soul... One glance into Junebug's eyes and we're sure you'll agree.

Junebug's original owners didn't give her much reason to trust people. They chained her in a muddy backyard without food and reportedly beat her regularly. She was only six months old, a baby, when she was rescued from that awful life.

She's been bounced around quite a bit since then, but Junebug is a survivor and she is resilient and she is so smart. While it understandably takes some time for Junebug to warm up to new people, and she's going to need an adult-only home with folks who are willing to be patient with her, your patience will be rewarded ten-fold.

Junebug is quite the snuggly, loving girl, as it turns out. She's also a big goofball, and so much fun! Since she's super intelligent, she learns commands very quickly and training is a breeze. And she seems to love other dogs, which we'll be exploring while she's staying with The Pet Connection for training in Raytown, Missouri. She'll be such a loyal friend to some very lucky human or humans.
