Rocky II
Rocky loves playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion.
Meet Rocky, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services. This handsome boy was part of a cruelty removal. He was found running loose in his own front yard. He was out there because his owner decided they didn't need to care for him any longer. No food, no water, no shelter for this guy. Instead, he was left scared and confused, fending for himself. For weeks, he stayed in the yard of the only place he had ever felt safe, so it's understandable he was very scared when help arrived to take him to safety. Rocky was allowed time to decompress and realize he now had food, shelter, and people who wanted to see him live his best life. It didn't take long before his rescuers discovered that Rocky is a fantastic dog!
He is very dog-friendly. All sizes, play styles, it doesn't matter; Rocky enjoys having a companion. He's curious about cats, but with a proper introduction, he is considered cat-friendly. As expected, he can still be a little nervous around new people, but he warms up quickly. He would do best in a home with older children. He has learned sit, comes when called (with a treat of course), loves to play with toys, and shares his toys and treats with other dogs. He is around 2 years old.
